  14. @tigeman12 lol…. you mean cognitive behavioral therapy, which is actually shown to be no more effective than the relationship of the therapist to the patient…

yeah…. also…. no drug treatment programs have been demonstrated very effective… most are about as effective as alcoholics anonymous etc which also have dismal rates

you over estimate the effectiveness and therefore use of psychology, as a result you are more prone to overlook the ethical failings of the discipline

  38. Fear is the most power emotion. Great than hatred. PPL will jump if they fear being burnt alive. They will give up their freedom for fear of jail.

  40. Also I agree that experiments such as ‘Little Albert’ were unethical, however that one experiment has helped us understand and very successfully treat phobias yet that part of the story was conveniently left out. They also seemed to leave out the part where behaviourism has helped develop the most successful drug addiction and autism treatments available. A very one sided documentary I thought.

  42. Funny, I don’t really see how LSD, deprivation or electro shock experiments are directly connected to the principles of classical and operant conditioning. Nor do I really understand how it’s fine that we learn using these principles all the time in are natural lives but when you demonstrate it systematically you become evil.

  44. If I ignore the socialist propaganda in the beginning of the film, and focus on the very well made area about cia psychology experiments, I would hsay this was a great film.

  46. The Video beginning at 1:00:18 is from an different experiment in which children watched a person beet up the bobo doll and then they entered the room as well in which they too beat up the bobo doll, interestingly to the observers, in increasingly creative ways. The conclusion was that children will mimic violent behavior and build upon it. You can watch a video on that experiment on youtube as well.
